Associated with the show from its debut in 2010, Sheets is now one of the biggest actors of the show due to his charismatic personality and his experience as a former auctioneer in the field of storage. Along with his son Brandon Sheets, he participates in the show. The show is a bidding auction of items left unclaimed from storage lockers which haven't been paid rent for the past three months. An experienced storage hunter, Sheets decided to try his luck on the show. His son Brandon although not as proficient like his father, but with outstanding skills at storage hunting will be with his father. Darrell refers to himself as "The Gambler", and he does not hesitate to take chances when bidding. His willingness to take risks has made him a very adept storage hunter to compete with. The previously unnoticed figure has received a lot attention because of his role in "Storage Wars" and has an impressive online fan base.
