Jessica resigned from the television series 7th Heaven in season six. In the film Ulee's Gold, she gained instant recognition for her excellent acting. The film even awarded her the title of award for the Best Young Supporting Actress in this movie. Summer Catch, the comedy film that she is in has proven her outstanding acting talents. Although she delivered an outstanding appearance, Rules of Attraction didn't get much notice. In the following years, her role in the horror movie The Texas Chainshaw Massacre caught public's attention. In addition, she has appeared in suspenseful films and proven herself to be an actor.
